Get ready to meet Eric Binford, the number one movie fan in the whole world. In fact, this lonely cinephile loves movies so much he’s prepared to kill for them whilst living out his warped fantasies all in the name of his deranged obsession for the silver screen. Written and directed by Vernon Zimmerman, this is a slasher which focuses on the darker side of fandom and obsession whilst smartly entwinning a very black, surreal sense of humour. Filled with film references and a very early role for Mickey Rourke, Fade to Black has the spirit of Scream mixed with the tone of Psycho and the beating heart of 80s slasher films.
