Farewell Mr. President LE (Blu-ray) ***Preorder*** 1/26

Dissatisfied with the state of the world Asko determines the best way to change things is to assassinate the president of Finland

Asko is a waiter who sees the elites around him enjoying life. Dissatisfied with the state of the world he determines the best way to change things is to assassinate the president of Finland. A talented marksman, he practices on a real target before working up to the key event. His antics draw attention from the police and he finds himself increasingly under pressure as detective Hanivaara closes in.

As Asko, Hannu Lauri won Finland's top acting prize for his chilling performance, while the production itself was an anomaly in the Finnish film industry, an explosive thriller influenced by Hollywood that created a new blend of delirious Eurocrime. Now newly restored from original negative materials, Farewell, Mr. President is released for the first time on any format outside of Finland.
